Rolf Borch is a clarinettist with a broad classical repertoire which he combines with a passion for contemporary music. He is active as soloist and chamber musician and has collaborated with a wide range of Norwegian and international composers. Borch plays all clarinet instruments and in 2015 he was awarded his PhD, for an artistic research project which focused on the contrabass clarinet. Borch is a permanent member of the ensemble Cikada, and works as associate professor of clarinet at the Music Conservatoire in Tromsø.
